Showcase Flower Room

The plants entered Week 10 of flowering (days 63-70). As the plants approach their finishing dates light intensity and temperature are lowered in the room. This helps encourage the plant to finish its ripening process. The plants took this cue and showed signs this week that they are ready to be harvested. This begins the takedown process.

At Small Batch takedown in its simplest form is cutting the flower off the plant and carefully removing it from the trellis. It is then either laid in a tote to be hung and dried for smokable packaged flower or cut and placed in a bag to be used for freezing and making hash. Every strain in the room will be available in flower form, but not every strain will be made into hash. In this room about half the strains will have material saved for concentrates. The harvest started on day 65 and should be wrapped up by day 70.

F0A Flower Room

The plants entered week 4 of flowering (days 28-35). The plants have finished stretching (thankfully as there are some TALL plants) and now begin focusing most of their energy on flower production. The strains are starting to show their uniqueness in flower shape and structure. Resin production is now noticeable on all the flowers. There look to be some fun varieties in this room.

Light, temperature, and CO2 are at the highest levels. Irrigation is longer at this stage and the plant nutrition now focuses more on flower production and development.

Maintenance in the room is under canopy pruning and leaf removal. This will be the last week of pruning fairly aggressive and using scissors. The material left on the plant now is what will make it through to harvest. The tops of the plants will be gently arraigned in the  top layer of the trellis netting. This helps maximize light penetration and can improve air circulation.

Recently Pruned Moms on the full mend!

Germinated Seeds showing first sets of leaves.

Mom and Veg Room

The moms that were pruned last week responded well and are already growing again. The plants that were not pruned are gigantic now. They will have clones taken off of them early next week and will be pruned heavily afterwards.

The seeds that were planted on 10/26 have germinated and started growing. The nicest seedlings were taken from the seedling tray and transplanted into small pots. This is an intermediate stage before the plants go into the final pot. More plants are transplanted into small pots than needed as this lets us choose the best plants for the final transplant. We have more plants than the flower room can handle so it’s still up in the air as to what will eventually be put into the Showcase Room.

That wraps up the blog for this week as it’s time to get back to work. Please check out the Super Micron Bros. if you haven’t yet. They are doing amazing work right now. Browse their blog and buy their stuff,  you won’t be disappointed!
