Showcase Flower Room - Quite a jump as the plants enter week 3.

Showcase Flower Room

The plants entered Week 3 of flowering (days 14-21). All strains in the room are still growing fast, both vegetatively (height and width) and generatively (flower development).  Every strain has made it to the third level of trellis which means every strain is now visible from the viewing window in our store.  The uniqueness of the eight different strains is really starting to present itself in growth pattern, flowering speed, and looks.

To keep up with the rapid growth the lights were raised twice last week. Light intensity is now over 90% and carbon dioxide is set to its ideal level for the room. Irrigation lengths are raised as the plants grow and the lights get stronger. Each plant in the room currently gets over a half gallon of water/fertilizer (2000mL) everyday and that will continue to gradually increase over the coming weeks.

The plants were pruned aggressively again this week and they seem to respond positively to these prunings. The pruning again focused on fan leaves and lower branches that aren’t receiving light and have underdeveloped flowers compared to the rest of the plant. It is great to feel the air flow on the tables increase as excess plant material is removed. The plants are tall enough now that the under canopy fan system was installed and plugged in to help air flow and reduce stagnant, dead air spots on the tables. Proper air circulation in the room helps prevent molds and mildews from developing on the plants.

F0A Flower Room

The plants entered Week 11 of flowering (days 70-77). It is now a waiting game for the last few Micro Batch trial strains to ripen so the room can be cleaned and flipped.

The Mystery Gary Payton strain was harvested at day 68 and came out nice. Frosty, purple flowers with a unique aroma that definitely has hints of fuel in it. It will be a fun strain to try and we hope it smokes as good as it looks.

The Micro Batch trial strains are just about ready to come down and will be harvested early next week around day 75. There are six trial varieties and they are all so unique. They range in color from dark purple to light green. Some have dark orange pistils while others have light orange pistils. There is fruit, gas, chemicals, and sweet aromas to these flowers. Two of the twelve plants are freaks and will be culled but other than that there seem to be some potential winners in this trial.

Planted clones adjusting to the veg life in our patented solo cups….. awaiting final transplant and move to their final destination.

Mom and Veg Room

As the clones continue to root, mother plants are slowly being chopped down so we can deep clean and reorganize this room. This process is taking a little longer than expected as some of the clones are being finicky but should hopefully be completed soon. It will be a relief to finally get this room under control.

The clones for the flower room and the next round of trial plants are all growing well and doing nicely. The trial plants have all been topped and had clones taken of them. The plants for the flower room will be topped next week. We will be bringing back some customer favorites as well as some newer varieties.

That wraps up the last blog of 2025. We hope everyone has a Happy New Year! Stay safe and stay warm out there. Thank you for your continued support of Small Batch and we look forward to continuing to serve you high quality cannabis into 2026 and beyond.

One Love
